poetry
dawn on the sea
gazing at the newborn sun
caress magical white cliffs
light creeping across the sky
slowly undulating clouds
rosy-fingered dawn
I breathe the sea-sweet air
filling me with peace
peace in my breath, my blood, my bones
breathe it
feel it
filling falling
I long to dance that golden trail
growing stronger on purple sea
and kiss the sun
and let her burn me away
like a cinder aflame
perfect and complete
shooting stars are people who kissed the sun
as I sing to her
she awakens
as her sister the sea carries me
coating my skin with her breath
moist and sweet
like a lover’s touch
what a miracle we live
I hear the music of the dawn
deep into my bones
the peace fills me with light
radiant enough to shine across the world
